Dr. Thomas Hohman has an illustrious career in the realm of ophthalmology and pharmaceutical research. He previously served as Head of Retina Discovery and Vice President of Retina Translation Medicine at Allergan. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in uncovering and driving forward innovative treatments for a range of retinal diseases, with a particular focus on age - related macular degeneration and geographic atrophy. His work involved not only identifying novel therapeutic approaches but also conducting in - depth research on disease mechanisms to enhance treatment efficacy.

Before joining Allergan, Dr. Hohman held prominent leadership positions. At Alcon Research, as the VP of Retinal Research and Development, he spearheaded initiatives to develop advanced retinal therapies. He also served as the Disease Area Section Head for Ophthalmology Clinical Research and Development at Novartis, where he was responsible for steering clinical research efforts in ophthalmology, ensuring the translation of scientific discoveries into viable treatments.
